All instruction is based in the Suzuki philosophy of teaching.
School Year Suzuki Lesson Package
This flat-rate tuition package is geared toward kids as young as 3. Yearly registration includes a weekly lesson time throughout the school year (summer lessons optional), participation in a combination of online and in-person group classes and participation in studio recitals. The primary curriculum used for lessons is the Suzuki violin method.
Lessons and curriculum can be modified to complement homeschool course of study and fulfill music learning requirements.
Group Classes
Filled with fun and games, group classes refine musicianship and teach important musical concepts that are more easily grasped in a class setting. They emphasize review of already-learned pieces, leadership skills, ensemble playing and cooperative learning. They also incorporate Music Mind Games, a music theory curriculum that embraces the Suzuki philosophy of learning and builds note reading and musicianship skills through progressive, age-appropriate games.
Studio Recitals
Performance opportunities are essential for developing musicians. Studio recitals provide a low stress environment for young performers to showcase their skills.
Drop-In Lessons
Students in school orchestras (without a private teacher) or amateur adults can always use a few lessons here and there. Drop-in lessons are perfect for kickstarting your practice routine or refining technical skills. Single lessons are available for violinists who want to learn some practice techniques, would like some assistance with a specific piece, or just need to inject some new energy into their playing!
FiddleQuest
FiddleQuest is a folk and fiddle music-based curriculum that can be used in conjunction with the yearly lesson package or adapted for the “drop in” student. This curriculum is accessed through an online software that features recordings and back tracks for every song. This digital curriculum allows students to follow specially designed practice steps and learn at their own pace with the guidance of the teacher.
